Clinic Policies

Appointments

Appointments can be made in-person or by phone (250) 962-7808. We recommend that annual vaccinations and check-ups be booked a few weeks in advance whenever possible. We realize that our clients have busy schedules and will do our best to accommodate each and every person.

If you feel that you have an emergency, please visit our clinic during office hours. If you are unsure of whether your pet must be seen immediately or have any questions regarding the medical care required, please call our office and speak to a staff member about your concerns. If you require urgent care after regular business hours, contact VetTriage and they will access the situation and connect you with the veterinarian on call.

In order to ensure our clients are not waiting long periods of time, we ask that you please try to arrive a few minutes early for your appointments. Prior to seeing the veterinarian, our office staff will ask for pertinent information relating to your pet(s), ensure we have an accurate weight on your pet(s), and complete necessary paperwork.

If you are aware that your pet is anxious during veterinary visits, please inform our staff and we will do our best to accommodate your needs in order to make your pet more comfortable and relaxed prior to the appointment.

Finances

Fees for services will always be discussed in an upfront, easy-to-understand manner. If an additional service is recommended during an appointment (such as lab-work or diagnostic imaging), estimates will be provided.

If you have any questions/concerns about payment options, please speak to a staff member prior to seeing the veterinarian. Cash, money order, debit, e-transfers, credit card and PetCard® are accepted forms of payment. For more information regarding the PetCard® Credit Card Program feel free to call  for more details. Please note that payment is due upon completion of services.

Again, thank-you for choosing Hart Family Veterinary Clinic Ltd.
