Dr. Sammi Fuller, DVM
Owner & Veterinarian
Dr. Fuller grew up in Prince George, BC, graduating from Duchess Park Secondary School. She knew from a young age she wanted to be a veterinarian, growing up with a multitude of pets in her household, including dogs, cats, reptiles, and amphibians. She decided to go to the University of Calgary after graduation, where she completed a Bachelor of Sciences in Cellular, Molecular and Microbiology with Distinction. She then went to the University of Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Thinking of specializing, she decided to move to the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI to complete a Small Animal Internal Medicine and Surgery Internship. She gained valuable experience and knowledge here from a multitude of specialists, making her move back to her home-town of Prince George, to be a general small animal private practitioner much easier. Dr. Fuller has two dogs of her own: Freddy, a Pomeranian mix and Bates, a goofy St. Bernard x Caucasian Shepherd puppy. She enjoys hiking and going camping with her dogs and her husband, Wade.

For the past 13 years Fern has worked in human health-care, but still felt a strong desire to come back and work with animals. Fern enjoys gardening, going to the movies and spending the majority of her spare time with her precious bulldogs. She is very passionate about proper veterinary care, adoption and providing a loving home for many bulldogs who often need to be re-homed.

Meghan has three bunnies; Eden, Winnie and Roo and two dogs, Luna and Finn. When she’s not helping your furry best friends at work, she’s crocheting, making cardboard mansions for her bunnies, or some other messy art activity.

Freddy
Dietary Quality Control Officer
Name’s Freddy. I’m mostly here for the snacks — don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I can hear a treat bag open from a mile away and I will appear, ready for my dues. My favorite spot is under Dr. Fuller’s desk where I can nap in peace… well, until that puppy Bates starts causing chaos again. Not a fan. Sometimes the staff give me questionable haircuts when my scruffy look gets out of hand, but I tolerate it. Just keep the treats coming and we won’t have a problem.

Oh hey there, I’m Bruce! I’ve basically grown up at Hart Family Vet — I’ve been coming here since I was just 12 weeks old and now I’m almost 4. My mom, Leah, works here so this is kind of like my second home. Most days you’ll find me snoozing in the office, occasionally stretching my legs to wrestle with my buddy Bates. He’s the new clinic puppy, and I’m trying to teach him how things work around here (like how to share toys and when it’s nap time). Outside of work, I love swimming — lakes, puddles, whatever, I’m not picky. Life’s good when you’re a golden retriever.

Clinic Moral Booster

Bates
Junior Mischief Intern
HI I’M BATES!!! I’m the very busy new clinic puppy and I LOVE IT HERE. There’s so much to do — wrestle with Bruce, annoy Freddy (it’s basically my job), steal toys, and run around like a maniac. I’m growing really fast and everyone says I’m going to be such a big boy, but right now I’m just focused on having fun. Bruce is showing me the ropes and sharing all the best toys. Life at the clinic is the BEST. Snacks, pets, and chaos? Sign me up.
